Renewal/re-issue of fresh passport for children on expiry of the existing one

Requirements

1. Duly filled in Passport application form, countersigned by both parents.
2. Present passport : and a copy of the first five pages.
3. Four photographs - Black & White or Colour – against a light background showing full frontal view of the face ( size 35mm x 35mm ).
4. Original PR Card with a photocopy (both sides). Where applicant is not a PR, current immigration documents (e.g. student ID, Work permit etc.,) with a photocopy thereof is to be submitted. If the applicant is a student, details of educational institution, along with period of study is required. In case of work permit holder details of employer and period of employment is required.
5. Personal appearance before Consular Officer required in case of change of passport due to change in appearance.
6. Parents must ensure that in the case of children who cannot sign, they must affix their thumb impression (right one for male child and left one for female child) in the space provided for this purpose.
7. Fee $ 45/-. (for a 36-page booklet)
   Fee $ 65/-. (for a 60-page booklet)
   payable to Consulate General of India, Toronto by Bank draft/Money Order/Certified Cheque.
    
   If the passport was issued for short validity (1 or 2 years) : no fee.
