To commemorate World Hindi Day, the Consulate General of India, Toronto organized a Hindi Kavi Sammelan on Saturday, 21 January 2012 at the Consulate.
Consul General Mrs. Preeti Saran welcomed the poets and the audience and read out Prime Minister’s message delivered on the occasion of World Hindi Day.
Dr. Bidhu Jha, Special Envoy for International Trade, Government of Manitoba, Dr. Shailja Saksena, Shri Saran Ghai, Shri Sandeep Tyagi, Shri Suman Ghai, Shri Bhagwatsharan Srivastava,  Ms. Manoshi Chatterjee, Ms. Krishna Verma, Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Pandey, Ms. Savita Agrawal, Ms. Meena Chopra, Ms. Paramjit Kaur, Shri Nirmal Sidhu, Shri Jasbir Kalravi were among the poets who graced the occasion and enthralled the audience with their poetry.
