Emergency Visa is granted ONLY for genuine medical and humanitarian emergencies which is subject to verification and at the discretion of the Consulate.  Emergency visa is a single entry visa normally valid for 1 month.   Applicants may be requested to appear for an interview.

Requirements

1. Application form duly complete
2.  2 recent colour passport size (35mm x 35mm) photographs with white/light   background.
3. Original confirmed air ticket and a copy of the same
4.  Bank draft/Money order for a total of C$ 178.00 payable to the Consulate  General of India, Toronto.

On working days:
·        Applications are received in person at the Consulate between 9:00 am to 11:30 am and passports are returned between 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm upon production of original receipt of payment.
·        Emergency visa should be applied within 72 hours of confirmed air travel.
·        Tourist visa CANNOT be applied under emergency procedure.
  

For emergency visa/passport assistance on Saturdays, applicants are advised to call
Tel : 416-960-0751 or 416-960-0752 between 10 am and 12 noon and register. Applicants should have confirmed air ticket for travel on the same day.

Please do not call for general enquiries on closed holidays.
There will be no emergency visa service on Sundays and holidays.
